About the role
The Chair provides leadership and direction to the Board and CEO, ensuring the effective governance of Feast Festival. The Chair is responsible for facilitating and managing Board meetings, guiding the development of strategic objectives, and acting as one of the key ambassadors for the Festival, which celebrates and supports Adelaide’s diverse LGBTQIA+ community.
About the organisation
Feast Festival is an arts and cultural event that brings together a variety of LGBTQIA+ performers, artists, communities, and audiences. The festival brings together local, interstate, and worldwide artists to create a unique experience. With a history that dates back to 1997, Feast has been and continues to be South Australia’s welcoming and safe environment for the community to express themselves.
Feast operates as an open-access platform for two weeks during the month of November, popularly known as 'Pridevember' to South Australians.
900+ artists, performers, volunteers and production crew helped to produce the 82 events for Feast Festival 2024, across multi-disciplinary art forms from cabaret, theatre, comedy, visual art, music, community forums, workshops to sporting events and more.
